Hi there - I'm Alejandra, but now that you're here call me Al!
I'm a food-loving Miami native with Cuban & Colombian roots meaning croquetas on Saturdays, arepas on Sundays, and boat days were very frequent.
A psychology & education degree led me to a career in teaching but it was the leap to New York that ignited my passion for food in the city that never sleeps. From the international Culinary Institue to TAO Restaurant Group, Eataly, and even upstate at Blue Hill Stone Barns,
I've tasted my way through education experience in agriculture, sustainability, and farm-to-table.
The New York food scene owes me nothing!
Travel and food are truly two of my biggest passions. I'm reimagining those passions into this website where I can store and share what I've learned along my culinary journey.
